Description
A house without a cat (or a dog, bird, pot bellied pig, goose...) could never be home to me. I have shared by home and life with many creatures, experienced great joy and sorrow at their loss but treasure each moment and memory. My children learned responsibility, caring for their needs; we spent countless hours of laughter enjoying their antics; and experienced the pleasure of unconditional love that animals have shared with us. They have so much to offer, I, for one, cannot imagine a home without a pet: it would be like a garden without flowers.
I combined and layered my original portrait "The Story of Blue Eyes" with another original photograph of a single flower and a hand painted watercolour to create this image.
