Sunkissed Peaches

Painting - Watercolour
Description
This painting was completed, some time ago, before one of my horses decided to eat my peach tree, pruning it so severely that the tree didn't survive the following winter. I recall the sunlight flickering through the leaves creating a wonderful abstract pattern of light and shadow that I wanted to recreate in this work.
The Okanagan Valley is also known as Canada's "Fruit Basket". It is one of the largest producers of fruit and wine in Canada. Growing numbers of tourists are attracted by the valley's scenery, hot summers, freshwater beaches, fruit orchards, vineyards and wineries.

Wonderful! I love how you've captured the light on these swirls of petals; intricate details finely executed with great dexterity of your skilled hands on the brush , another artwork treasure, Malanda!;))

A beautiful rendition of the peaches and leaves- superb work, Malanda! I had to laugh when I read your description of how one of your horses decided to eat your peach tree. They will do things like that!!! We're having a problem here with the deer eating our cedars. However, we like the deer so will persevere. F&L!!
Malanda Warner replied:
Thank you, Will, just planted a new one but noticed the deer have been at some of my other fruit trees! ! :-(
