Description
Every once in awhile, I try not to be too serious about a painting and just mix colour and see where that leads. Ice Capped Berries is one of those paintings that developed after placing a few spots of colour on the paper and attempting to visualize an image that could evolve from the initial splotches of paint.

Gorgeous work, Malanda. You've captured the beauty in the simplicity of berries dusted with a sprinkling of snow. Wonderful composition and color! L/F

Wow, love the colors, composition and clarity in this gorgeous watercolor, Malanda! So beautiful, and would make a lovely greeting card, too! L/F

Thank you for your kind words Hazel, I did create a couple of cards from this painting and finally took the time to upload them.

I thought I would revisit some of your lovely watercolor paintings, Malanda. "Ice Capped Berries" just glows with light and life - funny what a few spots of color can lead to!
Malanda Warner replied:
Thank you so much, Heather! It was fun to paint without having a specific goal in mind and letting the colour lead the way.
