Description
Occasionally, I take an impressionistic approach to a painting when I prefer to capture a feeling or experience and just enjoy the process of painting rather than attempting to achieve an accurate depiction. Purple Road was painted on a day that I lacked inspiration. I began with my favorite warm tones of purple, reds and blues on my palette and proceeded to think about things that I am especially fond of, such as, winding country roads, spring and the characteristic beauty of mature trees.

I just checked the speed limit! don't want to get a ticket... yes, love those fine details you put into this piece! the fences also add a lot of flavor... love your impressionistic approach! :)) it's like music...
